Take my advice!! Choose French-style baked paint doors like this—you won’t go wrong!!

My French baked paint door is a total success!! So happy it turned out perfect!!

It looks soft and creamy no matter if it’s sunny or cloudy~☁️

It has a nice glossy finish on sunny days, and on cloudy days it looks like it’s got a soft matte veil—so incredibly gentle!!

🌟Follow these steps, and it’s almost impossible to mess up!!

First, the most important thing: color

Baked paint doors can be custom-colored!! Make sure it matches your latex paint, cabinet doors, and baseboards, otherwise you’ll end up with all kinds of mismatched whites in your home😂

Next, the door structure:

Raised molding: Go for outer raised lines, not recessed or inner ones! Single or double lines depend on your taste~

Construction gaps: Confirm with the supplier—no visible panel seams!! Must remember!!

Door frame: Two joining styles: “overlapping corners” and “mitered flat corners”. I chose mitered flat corners for my home. Be clear in advance, as suppliers usually default to overlapping corners!

Material & finish:

If budget allows, choose multi-layer solid wood for better eco-friendliness. On a tight budget? Solid composite works just fine!

Must use water-based baked paint!! No oil-based paint!! Environmental protection is key! Go for 30% gloss—it looks the most luxurious and textured✨

Last, accessories:

Weatherstripping: I made a mistake here😭 The worker installed gray ones at first—they looked terrible!! Confirm ahead of time—must be white!!

Door lock: Check what locks the supplier provides first. If you don’t like them, buy your own and just deduct the cost difference~

Door frame style: Flat (4–5cm wide) and curved (over 7cm). My baseboards are 4cm, so I picked flat—super cohesive look overall👌

It’s been over half a year since installation, and I still fall in love with it every time I see it!!

Girls, just copy this guide and you’ll get your dream doors too!!
